Troyes

Troyes is a lovely little town, in the Champagne region but with half timbered houses which give it an almost Alsace look and feel.  The covered market sells everything and is always great for a wander.  We went to lunch at the same place we went with Katya.  Dad ordered the specialty of the region, andouillette sausages which are not just tripe as we first thought.  There's a lot of other 'stuff' in those sausages and frankly bloody revolting.  I like everything but the taste of those andouillette was one of the most revolting tastes I've ever had.  But the guy's a trooper I'll give him that!!

Was fun.  We had a lovely day, beautiful weather and we took a photo in a similar spot we did with Katya - with her we were surrounded by hoar frost and this time with rapeseed flowers.  Both as beautiful as each other.

Andy's being rather silly.  Anyway at lunch waiting in anticipation for the tripe and anus sausage

At lunch

On the way home we stopped at an abbey

We took a photo from a similar place with Katya, surrounded by hoar frost 3 months earlier

Hmmm they might be a prized regional specialty, but it doesn't make them taste any good!!

I could spend ages in this market
