Riva Hotel, Konstanz, Germany.

Riva is situated directly on Lake Konstanz, about a 15 minute walk to the centre and a lovely walk at that.  Good for running with tracks around the lake although be careful in winter, black ice is pretty treacherous as I found out one morning.

Christmas decorations in and around the hotel are something to behold.

The bar area is unique, options for seating and a beautiful wine cellar.

The top tier Ophelia restaurant was closed however the Riva restaurant was superb and service incredible as the Ophelia head waiter was leading the helm.

Again those Christmas decorations - in life stunning.

Konstanz town is a beauty and the Christmas market is one of the largest I've seen.
