Riva is situated directly on Lake Konstanz, about a 15 minute walk to the centre and a lovely walk at that. Good for running with tracks around the lake although be careful in winter, black ice is pretty treacherous as I found out one morning.

| The top tier Ophelia restaurant was closed however the Riva restaurant was superb and service incredible as the Ophelia head waiter was leading the helm. |

| Konstanz town is a beauty and the Christmas market is one of the largest I've seen. |
