My first time skiing and we chose Les Coeur des Alpes in Zermatt. Specifically a loft which is 2 levels, bathroom on lower and upper floor, bed upstairs on a mezzanine with a glass partition so that the view out to the Matterhorn is unobsturcted. Double height glass, open fire downstairs, huge bathtub near the fire and complete decadence for two people.
Yes the skiing needs a LOT of improvement but for some strange reason I fell in love with skiing holidays - pretty hard not to in a place like this!!

| The chandeliers are a feature throughout Coeur des Alpes as are the furniture and design of the entire place. Zermatt has some incredible designers to draw upon. |
