Smoked Chicken, dahl, rice, chickpea masala, salad... etc

Yum.  I started to go through recipes and I have gone back to a few basics with Indian Cooking with the help of Vineet Bhatia.  His yellow dahl is unreal, as is his chickpea masala.  Sometimes it's worth going back to basics. I'm not a huge fan of recipes because they take so bloody long, referring to them, but once you've refreshed your brain it's easy to do again with no reference to the bloody recipe!
